Kith BMW, Levi’s 1942 501, Nike One Piece Lead Fashion News

This week’s fashion news brings a major BMW collaboration for Kith, a heritage reissue from Levi’s, a One Piece tease from Nike Japan, and a growing list of UK bans for Meta’s smart glasses. Gap also launched a new denim campaign featuring Malcolm Todd.

Kith and BMW Present Chapter IV Collection

Kith has officially unveiled the fourth installment of its partnership with BMW. The collection arrives after the reveal of a one-of-one 1972 BMW 3.0 CSi and a 1987 BMW M6 E24 restoration. Created for the brand’s 15th anniversary, the capsule continues to bridge automotive heritage and premium streetwear.

Outerwear includes a leather jacket assembled from multiple panels, made in collaboration with AVIREX, plus Braun and Dewitt leather moto jackets. The essentials range features the Nelson Quarter Zip, Braxton Track Zip, and Nelson Hoodie. Accessories include leather overnight bags featuring Monogram embossing, travel duffles, watch holders, and ’47 Sheep Suede Drivers Caps.

The release underscores the enduring link between the two labels and shows that the crossover between luxury cars and modern fashion still has momentum.

Meta Smart Glasses Hit UK Venue Restrictions

Meta’s smart glasses are facing bans at several venues across the United Kingdom, a setback for the company’s global adoption push. Event spaces and clubs have cited privacy concerns and the threat of unauthorized recording.

Wetherspoons is among the largest chains enforcing the restriction, applying it across 800 locations. Private members’ club Soho House has requested that guests leave the hardware at the door. ATG Theatres has limited their use during performances, and Monopoly Events has imposed an outright ban for Comic-Con.

The restrictions serve as a reality check for the smart eyewear market and set a clear precedent for wearable cameras in nightlife and entertainment.

Levi’s Vintage Clothing Reissues 1942 501 Jeans

Levi’s Vintage Clothing has re-released the iconic 1942 501 jeans, a reproduction that follows World War II era specifications. During that period, material rationing forced the brand to strip down its signature details.

The jeans feature an inverted yoke seam, hidden rivets, single-needle arcuate pocket stitching, and a classic two-horse leather patch. Each pair comes unwashed in its raw state, along with a reproduction of the original paper flasher and decorative dollar bill insert.

The 1942 501 jeans drop August 13 at Levi’s Store Kyoto and via lottery on the official web store, priced at 66,000 JPY.

Nike Japan Teases One Piece Collaboration

Nike Japan has teased another collaboration with One Piece. The teaser image shows a Poneglyph shaped like a Nike Swoosh, with the caption “ROMANCE DAWN,” referencing the opening story arc of the franchise.

The release is rumored to be the One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus “Devil Fruits” pack, though official product shots have not been revealed. Even so, the announcement has sparked excitement on social media. Several sources suggest the collection is set to drop during Fall 2026.

Malcolm Todd Stars in Gap’s “Denim On Your Own” Campaign

Malcolm Todd fronts Gap’s new “Denim on your own” campaign alongside American actress Inde Navarrette. The campaign debuts ahead of his biggest tour to date.

In an interview with Hypebeast, Todd shared his fashion hot takes, emphasized the importance of a fun accessory, and offered his style mantra: “if everything’s cute in my closet, it’ll be okay.”

From Kith’s latest BMW capsule to Levi’s archival reissue, the week offered a mix of nostalgia, innovation, and practical concerns. With Nike Japan’s One Piece hint and Gap’s new campaign, there is plenty for fashion enthusiasts to watch in the months ahead.
