Cursor, the AI coding startup, is now officially part of SpaceX, according to an announcement published on the Cursor blog.
The acquisition completes a process that began in April, when SpaceX and Cursor unveiled a partnership to develop technology together. That initial deal included an option for SpaceX to purchase the company for $60 billion. Two months later, after SpaceX became a publicly traded company, both sides said they were moving forward with the acquisition.
SpaceX also completed its acquisition of xAI, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence venture, earlier this year. Cursor’s AI coding tools will now operate under the SpaceX umbrella.
The blog post confirms that Cursor’s integration into SpaceX is now complete.
