Marco Arment, the independent developer behind Overcast and Instapaper and a former Tumblr chief technology officer, has released Unforgetful, a new app designed as an alternative to Apple’s Reminders for procrastinators.
Available for both iOS and Mac, Unforgetful works directly with a user’s existing Reminders database rather than requiring a separate list or account. The app is intentionally built for people who have found that Apple’s default system does not match the way they manage tasks.
Arment, who created the popular podcast player Overcast and the read later service Instapaper, previously served as Tumblr’s chief technology officer. Unforgetful marks his latest foray into productivity software, this time targeting those who tend to defer or dismiss reminders instead of acting on them.
By integrating with the reminders already stored on a device, Unforgetful offers a fresh approach for users who are ready to stop hitting snooze on their responsibilities.
